I have really enjoyed Katherine’s other books (Wintering and Enchantment) so I thought I’d read this one too. Unfortunately it only reminded me that most people who have children talk about them constantly. I feel like the book kept veering off into tales about her son which really didn’t interest me. There was a lot of writing about the coastal journey which didn’t interest me either. I was looking for more in depth thoughts and feelings about her diagnosis going way back in the past rather than ‘coastal walk with my son’.  It wasn’t for me but I’ll still keep an eye on Katherine’s work in the future.
