The Cheshire Cheese Cat: A Dickens of a Tale by Carmen Agra Deedy, Randall Wright

4.0

Take a walk into Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese pub in London and you'll encounter a strange menagerie of creatures. Cheese-loving cats, raven-loving mice, and, surprisingly, a strong (yet sometimes tenuous) friendship between a cat and a mouse can all be found within the dated pub.

A great follow-up read for someone who loves 'The Tale of Despereaux' by Kate DiCamillo. I'm definitely not a cat or a mouse person, but there's just something about good ol' Skilley and Pip that warms the heart. The adventures and funny habits of the quirky cast of characters will excite and delight.
