The Slow Regard of Silent Things
by Patrick Rothfuss
It feels silly, knowing this book has been described as, "a book about a sad girl who picks things up and puts them down again," to say that it somehow moved my heart and made me feel seen, but it did. This is a beautiful book about a beautiful heart that has been wounded and still makes things beautiful how she can. It's about a girl who sees the world differently than other people, and it's just detailing her going about the "mundane" parts of her daily existence, and somehow it's beautiful.
I love this. And I love Patrick Rothfuss for writing this and for sharing it with us.
