Haven
by Claire Kent
"Haven" picks up roughly a year after the events of "Last Light." Like its predecessor, this installment leans heavily into character development, making it a satisfying read, albeit light on plot. It's refreshing to catch glimpses of Travis and Layne, adding depth to the narrative. While the romantic elements shine, I yearned for more action to drive the plot forward. The abduction of Faith by Caden, a former refugee, provides the only real intensity in terms of action.
