Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

5.0

Even more blown away by this than Six of Crows, which, honestly, I didn't believe was possible at the time (two days ago). With everything Kaz Brekker did I would find myself gasping in surprise after many pages of pulling my hair and worrying over their safety. So many moments stood out for me, the characters have become so much more than just characters in this book. I feel like I've found a new family.
I know in my last review I had mentioned Kaz and Inej, at the top of my head, as some of my favourite scenes. Again, I have to say my favourite moments was in chapter 26 while Kaz is bandaging Inej. The tension made me hold my breath. The way Leigh describes Kaz and his relentless fight with inner demons and the same for Inej...
I have no words !!
Not to mention how invested I am in Wylan and Jesper's little love story. What a gradual and beautiful fall.
I love these books wholeheartedly and passionately and I cannot wait for the show.
