Cover Story
by Susan Rigetti
Many thoughts about this book. It's based on the actual story of Anna Delvey, the fake heiress who took NYC by storm a few years ago.
1. I read the actual memoir by the woman this happened to... and it was way more interesting. Rigetti managed to somehow kind of dilute it by making it fiction? It's weird.
2. For most of the book, I was exasperated by Lora. Like there's no possible way someone could be fairly intelligent and think the way she does. As I said the true story was way more interesting and realistic (obviously), and you could actually understand why the woman did what she did in most of the situations.
3. The ending?? I'm so confused. Are we supposed to believe Lora was just a fictional character the entire time as well and the diary was all BS??? Sooo is Cat Wolff even real? Or is she Lora! I'm so confused...
