Bean and Gavin have known each other for 8 years and after an accident leaves Bean injured, Gavin makes it his mission to protect her and coworkers turn to more. This book had a slow start for me and took a bit for me to get into. I think since reading all dual pov books lately this one threw me off a bit as it’s told in 3rd person pov. I did love their back and forth banter and how Bean would keep Gavin on his toes and their main goal to ensure the mission was completed safely was never an afterthought after feelings developed.
