Second House from the Corner
by Sadeqa Johnson
3.5 stars. I received an advanced reader copy of Second House from the Corner. I liked this book - Sadeqa Johnson did a great job of writing a realistic mother of young children. The story was well written and held my interest. While I liked Felicia, I found her husband, Preston's reaction to her lie a little over the top and the fact that she would agree to leave her children was a little unbelievable. I also found the story with Shayla unnecessary to the book. The descriptions of love scenes made the book more chick lit and less literary for me. But I enjoyed the book and would recommend as a engaging, easy read.
