This is exactly what it was advertised to be - a cozy, low stakes fantasy read. I don’t play DnD, so even not putting that context over this story, I still found it really cute and charming. I chuckled through all these mythological creatures discovering coffee, chocolate and cinnamon rolls, and really enjoyed this found family of oddball creatures. This is a perfect fantasy palette cleanser to just make you feel content at the end of a book.
