I can appreciate that there is certainly not enough fiction focused on trans women for sure, but this was just not great for me.
The plot described in the small synopsis on Goodreads turned out to be a really small part of the story. The rest of the book had very little actual plot, and a lot of the book was just violence and traumatic experiences that Wendy and her friends experienced.
While, of course, these are valid and constant aspects for a lot of transgendered individuals, I long for fiction about them that isn't focused on the horrible people around them and the violence and bigotry they inflict.
