While I enjoyed this book at times the pacing felt off. Sometimes it felt slow, though the entire book only covers one semester of college so that could be why. I liked Lane, he genuinely cared about Hallie and wanted to make sure that she felt cherished. Normally I don’t like the “quirky girl” role but Hallie was written in a way that highlighted her unique interests without making her ridiculous or hard to connect with. Her insecurities were realistic and handled well. This book is perfect for fans of the teaching/lessons tropes.
