Otherlands: A Journey Through Earth's Extinct Worlds by Thomas Halliday

5.0

A really great journey through the past with excellent descriptions of the world as it would have looked during each of the eras the book traverses. Each chapter centers around a different area where there is a significant fossil record from each era, starting with the Pleistocene and all the way back to the ediacaran where multicellular life is quite new. It's a super fun and interesting book. The only thing is I wish there were more pictures of all the different species that he talks about. Good to have a internet search at your fingertips to get more out of what the author is writing about.
