A Guide for the Perplexed by Dara Horn

Did not finish book.
I tried to like this. The writing is good but....

I couldn't get behind the characters. The women, Judith and Josie, seemed so freaking one-dimensional that it made me sick. I'm sure they fleshed out by the time the book was over, but I couldn't even get that far.

The other story, with the Rabbi scholar seemed interesting, with the explorer twins, but the book isn't worth the women's story to get to the scholar's story.

This makes me sad because I really wanted to like this. ):
