Feast of the Vampire King by Violet Taylor

dark

4.5

This is a great vampire novella. There’s a feral brutality which is fitting.

The FMC is among human tributes given every ten years to keep the vampires from raiding the village. During the feast she catches the eye of the king after showing no fear and successfully defending herself. He gives her the option of immediate death or pleasure before death.

It’s bloody, spicy, and has an HEA.
