I wanted to enjoy this but it read like my high school written romances. It was contradictory and we were told everything. “And there’s a spark and they’re in love!” The climax goes so wildly rapidly it’s a crazy plot moment. I also couldn’t handle that grave robbing was okay until it was the death of someone they knew and then they buried the body. So hypocritical. It was a bit painful to read tbh. The bad guys just never faced any sort of consequence which I know can happen but honestly? And Bernard was a walking contradiction. “He’s nice. But also a massive control freak. Until he’s not.”
Also very very gory in medical ways.
