Readers make their own personal connections to words, irrespective of the writer's intentions, and each reader gains something unique.
This book came into my life at the exact moment I needed it. Altogether it was a hopeful story about what defines a fulfilling life and a love letter to both libraries & books. Not only was it uplifting, but it also offered a lot to reflect upon with a comforting hand to guide you along the way.
Despite how much I adored this book, I can't give it a full 5-star rating due to the excessive fatphobia which added no value to the story.
Graphic: Fatphobia, Sexism
Moderate: Suicidal thoughts
Minor: Bullying
