My Sister's Husband by Cassandra Dee

1.0

Kelsey Smith always felt conscious when people compared her to her sister, Jane. Being a girl with curves next to her sister's perfect figure and perfect life always got her into trouble, especially because of her big mouth.

But she couldn't help the massive crush she had on her brother-in-law, Marcus Weston.

The title, My Sister's Husband, makes the plot of the story as clear as daylight. This is the first book that I have read by the author and it's safe to say that it shall be the last.

This book comes under the category of taboo romances, where illicit affairs, alpha males, etc are the norm. I was in search of pregnancy erotica when I picked this up.

But, more than taboo, the way it was narrated was distasteful.

I couldn't connect with either of the characters. And the grammatical/language errors in the narrative didn't help. Sometimes, Kelsey called her parents Mum and Dad and at other times, it was Robert and Gail.

This had become one of the weirdest books I have read. Instead of erotica, all I got was a disgusting story full of nothing but wanting sex all the time and seriously weird facts about sex!?!

Moreover, there is no depth to the characters. Sure, this is a short read (some 100 odd pages), but the cavalier attitude to life and relationships and everything else didn't endear me to either of the protagonists.

There was hardly any conflict in the entire story, and some of the descriptions, actions etc were just plain gross. I don't know what I was thinking!
