Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
5.0

“They don’t know who we are. Not really. They don’t know what we’ve done, what we’ve managed together.” Kaz rapped his cane on the ground. “So let’s go show them they picked the wrong damn fight.”

A CONCLUSION WHAT A FUCKING CONCLUSION!

Have I mentioned how much I absolutely love Leigh bardugo? Have I mentioned how the six of crows duology is her best work in my opinion? No? Well it is.

I did not think that Six of Crows could be topped, that’s why it took me so damn long to pick up Crooked Kingdom but I was wrong. Absolutely, positively wrong.

Six of crows was great but Crooked Kingdom blew me out of the water, especially the last 200 pages? Kaz Brekker never ceases to surprise me, I would be there biting my thumb— nerves all over the place so sure they were fucked until BAM! Kaz plays another card.

Apart from the world building being absolutely stunning as always, and the plot being insanely wicked. The ending for the dregs made perfect fucking sense, I love that Leigh stayed true to Kaz’s character. Despite admitting his feelings for Inej and for the rest of the dregs he’s still Kaz. That meant so much to me.

Wylan and Kaz really carried this entire book on their backs and that’s the tea! Also I’m proud of Jesper, I want to see him stick to the changes he wants to make and Inej deserves every ounce of freedom she got.

I’d love seeing the crossovers between the characters from the grisha trilogy and IM SO READY TO READ KING OF SCARS NOW. If you were second guessing continuing this duology take my advice, FINISH IT.
