This might be my favourite in the series so far.
The uniqueness of the city structure, the way the politics are interwoven both on a "local" and world scale, how Sikthand is slowly unravelled by Sophia, and how Sophia massively steps up to make the best of a tough situation. This book has it ALL.
Content warning: There are some dark themes (minor stalking, past traumas for our MMC, and FMC started the book by being kidnapped. It's very Beauty and the Beast vibes). If you read dark romance this is pretty tame, but if you've never delved into that then some of this might be new to you. That said, I'd say it's less intense than some of the similar themes in the previous book, Resisting Maxu.
