Fast paced, I liked the characters. I like how their relationship developed throughout. Just a little bit cheesy. Ultimately, I liked the protagonist, Jess, can relate to her insecurities and being a hypocrite. I liked Josh. I wanted both of them to end up together, I felt the "pure" love. But their problems weren't addressed, the ending was SHOOKENING but also abrupt. I liked the ending but it felt a little out of place. The conflict wasn't addressed which maybe the whole point of the story. But the promotion that this was a political/racial themed love story did not leave up to expectations. There was no blatant point made, no resolution or impact. It was a waste since the buildup to their penultimate fight was satisfying but the ending left me disappointed. Nevertheless, I liked the pacing and the writing and the female main character hence it's a thumb
