A few Birthdays ago a set of three books by Neil Gaiman was on my wishlist. Now having finished The Graveyard Book i have read all three of them. And this one is probably my favorite.

It tells the tale of Nobody Owens, or Bod for short. One night Bod is supposed to be killed by the man Jack. A Jack of all trades. But Jack messes up and baby Bod makes his way to safety crawling into the local graveyard.

He grows up in the presence of ghosts and the graveyard becomes his whole world. Protected by his guardian vampire Silas. But as Bod grows up he can no longer resist the temptations of the outside world. But Jack is still out there to finish the job.

The Graveyard Book is a lovely tale with a few sharp edges. And Bod is incredibly brave. I really like how this story brought me back to how fantasy books made me feel when i was younger. A testament on how it doesnt matter at what age you read a certain book of which genre. You should just enjoy it.
