Pucking Revenge by Brittanée Nicole
4.0
4.5 ⭐️ My second Brittanee Nicole book, and even more obsessed with her stories!
This book is unrealistic to the extreme, as most sports romance books are, but here I mean it in the sense that if Brooks was real, I would have a ring on my finger because the way I would wife this man up IMMEDIATELY is no joke.
This has a Virg¡n, Pro-athlete, Millionaire MMC (i mean, gag) and the FMC is his best friend and the only woman he has ever been able to imagine for himself. So, yes, I loved Brooks. Duh. Sara's story starts a bit rocky, in the sense that she's very much the victim in the situation, but still, we know how everyone likes to blame women for men's mistakes to the point where women actually end up feeling guiltier than they do for the lying and the cheating... but I digress. I will keep the details hidden but just know that cheating is a big part of this book (NOT between MCs).
Spoilers about the cheating plot:
Now, the way Brooks steps up every time... the way he sees Sara for who she is at every turn, even when it would be so easy to assume the worst... That really is some soulmate type sh¡t to me. And I eat it up every time!
I am so, so exited for Tyler's (War) book!

Spoiler
In the beginning of the book, Sara is dating the team's coach, who's also Brooks' uncle. He told her that he had been divorced for years, and that he wanted to keep her a secret to protect her job, as she too works for the team. She kind of breaks it off with him even before knowing he's married, but she's horrified when she finds out and obviously never wants to see or hear from him again, but they still work together...Now, the way Brooks steps up every time... the way he sees Sara for who she is at every turn, even when it would be so easy to assume the worst...
