I’m not really sure what I expected when I started this book. The first couple chapters had me intrigued, but after chapter 3 or 4, I started to get kinda bored. The way the story was written , I feel just prolonged it. It definitely felt longer than it needed to be.
I did enjoy the idea behind the story. It’s definitely a twist on fairy tales and it was nice that the fairytales in this book strayed from the popular ones. The world in this book could have been really good too. I felt that the story had too much unneeded detail and not enough focus on world building.
Overall, I probably wouldn’t read this again, but it was okay the first time.
