Firstly- I have not read the first two books in this stand alone interconnected series however, i don’t believe it mattered.
I’d like to point out that yes this is a re telling of Wuthering Heights but add spice (if you like re-telllings then I’d definitely give this a go!). So the FMC (Cathy) is a Banshee and can sense death and everytime she does she is overwhelmed by the loss of life and feels stuck in her loneliness. Until she randomly meets Heathcliff (this gets spicy fast) who is a crazy powerful Necromancher from a well known big family in the town.
You get the smut first (chapter 2) but the plot and world building does come too.
Their magic/supernatural experiences are really immersive from the dual POV - really like the main characters overall and the side ones too! One of my favourite things about books is when side characters are memorable.
Definetly will be back for more of her books! Loved her writing style along with the book overall!
