Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng

4.0

4.5 stars. I really enjoyed the character development in this book and how so many people- their lives, their stories, their struggles, their history- all intertwined to compose one common theme of loss. Whether the loss of a loved one, loss of something that could have been, loss of a potential. So much loss in this book, but it also shows how you can flourish and grow from the loss.

"Remember, sometimes you need to scorch everything to the ground and start over. After the burning, the soil is richer, and new things can grow. People are like that, too. They start over. They find a way."
