Now that genomes are being decoded, this book shows how scientists are attempting to apply this information helping define human pre-history and its evolution into the modern human of today. While a great snapshot of a time the science has moved past this point (it was published in 2006.) The author is rather disparaging of religion which gets a little irritating after a while.
