I did not enjoy this book, though I think that the narrator for the audiobook played a big role in how I felt about it. The narrator mispronounced multiple words and often missed the subtle vocal inflections that would have finessed a sentence to better emphasize the author's point. More than once while listening, I thought I probably would have felt less antipathetic about the subject if I'd just read it myself. That said, I still found a good portion of the book to be repetitive and contrived. It felt like the author had decided that "Boomers are sociopaths!" was a great starting point and then just fit everything he had to say into that formula to try to prove his point. I didn't count the number of times I heard, "The sociopathic Boomers" or some variation on that phrase, to the point that it really was a bit of overkill. Honestly, some of his points were valid, and his ideas about how to correct some of the issues facing the US are worth at least some critical evaluation. However, the way he chose to couch those ideas was off-putting and heavy-handed.
