I like a few of the elements and stories in the book, however there were several points where my eyes glasses over.

I certainly don't think it's a bad collection, just perhaps not quite to my tastes. I did really love the intertwining of culture within the writing though, and I think Enríquez's writing is strongest when it is seeped and focused on its cultural touchstone.
