So much wasted potential. Instead of trying to develop 20 characters, I wish the writer would've focused on character development of 5. Maybe then Shay whose name is in half the pages of this book didn't have the personality of a wet napkin.
I'm an emotional person and the story of this is very personal to me so I was hesitant to pick it up but it ended up not affecting me. I didn't feel the grief or the pain because I simply couldn't connect with the characters.
