I adore Mische (FMC) so I am going to be biased about my opinion of her book, but this a great time. FMC is complex and wonderful, the plot is very straightforward while still well done. The focus is very narrow, so I expect the second book to be more expansive. The build up is good, the magic is interesting, the character development is believable. All around I recommend it!
