My introduction to JGV was a little meh, so I went into this book expecting nothing and walked away with everything! An amazingly heartfelt story centered around the discomfort and joy of change. This book perfectly balances silly antics, emotion, and intimacy, all brought to life through the incredible narration of someone who absolutely gets Gabi.
While there were a few minor elements I didn’t love,like how Vale and Leana being best friends added nothing to the story and instead felt a little awkward, I was still swept away by what may be my favorite read of the year thus far. Very excited to keep any JGV (new) adult novels on my radar!
