Favorite Daughter was a tough one for me to get through at first. The characters were so unlikable that it made reading difficult, and I struggled to connect with them for much of the book. That said, the story improved toward the ending, where the tone shifted and a more positive message came through.
I don’t have too many other strong takeaways, but in the end, it left me with a better impression than how it started.
