This was exactly what I needed after the long and arduous wait between Skin Game and Peace Talks. I know that Jim has a lot going on right now, but I can't express enough how much I appreciate having this during what has been a really rough year. Getting back into the head of Harry Dresden and the gang (although admittedly, this collection was painfully lacking in Karrin. I hope she's okay. She's had it rougher than me lately and I just wanna give her some love.) has been an absolute delight. The cherry on top of this most perfect Sunday milkshake? A Zoo Day with Harry, Maggie, and Mouse. What a way to end the story. My whole heart is beaming. Ideally I would like to do individual reviews of each story, but with where my head's been at lately I think it'll be a bit before I get around to it. Either way, this is one I'm so happy to own and highly recommend reading to hold you over until the next chapter in the life and times of Chicago's only professional wizard.
