Turn of Mind by Alice LaPlante

5.0

This book was hard to put down. A compelling story, but what stays with you is how well the author captures what it must be like to have dementia. The book is written from the point of view of a woman with dementia, her best friend is murdered, it looks like she may have done it, but she can't remember. A reviewer on NPR called it a "literary thriller" because it's so much more than just a mystery story.
