251 Things To Do In Tofino: And It Is Not Just About Surfing
by Kait Fennell
I wasn't sure what to expect when I began reading this book. I've never been one for travel guides or anything of the sort, but as soon as I began reading I was met with an overwhelming sense of joy and pride. It felt like I was personally being welcomed to Tofino with open arms. It's a place I'd never even heard of but now I dream of going just to make an attempt at surfing. The history and culture is unique making me want to learn more about Tla-o-qui-aht Nation.
Being a city girl, it's never pitch black where I'm at so as I'm reading about things to have with you; it made me wonder about the amount of darkness there is that I need a lamp. It sounds like such a warm and welcoming place that I now have on my list of places to see. It made me want to talk like a Tofitian. It made me imagine how the Tuff the guys were in that old pub Maquinna.
This was by far the beast travel guide I've read. You can really tell it was written by someone who's lived and loved Tofino. Thank you for my copy to review. I'll be sure to bring it with me when I come for a visit.
