Hold My Heart by Esther M. Soto

Did not finish book.

Almost two months. TWO MONTHS. That's how long I struggled with this. It put me into the worst reading slump I have ever experienced and made me do something I loathe - give it up without finishing. I feel pretty sad about this one - because it isn't bad. Don't let my review put you off trying - I have read so much worse than Hold My Heart. The writing style is fine - it's the characters I couldn't get on with. Nothing they did or said felt true to me. It made for a stressful attempt at reading (attempt because I ended up achieving less than 25%).

Just wanted to add this caveat - the author seems absolutely LOVELY so I would recommend that you give this a go, just to try yourselves. It wasn't for me but that doesn't mean it isn't for you!
