I came into this book with literally no expectations at all, I just read two of Sophie lark books and they were boring and made me miss Cora Reilly books so I decided to read this book. Again, having no expectations to when it comes to Cora books is a normal thing but holy fuck did she prove me wrong. Mar (idk how to spell her name) character is so witty and genuinely just great, and (spoilers) SHES JOING THE OUTFIT??? LEADING THE ENFORCERS??? I was shocked, the rest of the girls I’m Cora books have their own little Hobby’s and shit but mar is actually joining the mafia. Also I enjoyed how she was like so Unapologetically rich, like she was just like ya I’m rich and what about it. Maddox and mars banter was my favorite tho, they were so funny.

I originally was gonna give this book a 3 star rating but holy fuck we got growl crumbs and I’m the biggest growl apologist out there. I love that man with my whole heart.
