The exploratory nature of No Man's Sky and the flight-school politics of Ender's Game? Sign me up.
I'm already a Brandon fan, I don't know why I keep sleeping on his YA books. It took me FAR too long to read this FANTASTIC book. A story of human survival, a scathing critique of "dying for the cause". Spensa is all I want in a young, brash female heroine. Her relationships with her friends and classes, and how much she changes over the course of the book, emulate everything I have loved about my friendships and my own coming-of-age.
