More Than Pleasure You by Shayla Black

5.0

Flawless. Absolutely flawless. But I don't know why I am surprised. This is Shayla Black, and her words are pure gold. She could literally write anything and have people hanging off her every word.

She did just that with More Than Pleasure You. This is part of a series of books in the More Than Words series and also a short 1,001 Dark Knights novella. It can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend this series. It's one of my all-time favorites.

Skye's invited to her ex's wedding, and she doesn't want to go alone, she doesn't want to appear as single to Finn's mother. The groom's mother is convinced that they belong together, but the thing is, the ex-mother in law doesn't realize that they've only ever truly been friends and nothing more. These two get along fine and Skye actually loves the girl Finn is marrying. So when an insanely attractive man overhears a convo Skye is having, he can't help but offers to step in as a fake fiance... Why wouldn't she agree to it? It may actually get the ex-mother in law off her back.

Stephen moved to Hawaii for a mini-vacation, which he doesn't do often. He's always so busy at his father's firm and now that he's being prepped to take over, it just keeps getting busier, but he took time for himself to figure out what he wants in HIS life, among a few other reasons.

With very little time to prepare for this wedding and this lie they'll be living and to make it believable, are they able to? Will everyone be convinced that Stephan and Skye are are to be married? Will the mother inlaw? Are they able to keep in professional and strictly business or will the spark between these two ignite, leaving them to fall in love for real?

These two had crazy insane chemistry, and the sexual tension is pulsating around them. They are attracted to each other, and they try and stick to the deal they've made. But are they able to? Or is the attraction and desire they have for one another just too strong.

I love love love this story! It was fun, and short and packed with heat and steaminess and so much more. The characters were fun, and the plot was mildly paced and as always Ms. Black's style of writing flowed perfectly, making it easy to fall in love with the story and the characters. It was the perfect novella and I hope to see more of these two!

As always, Shayla Black delivered an outstanding, deliciously hot, fun and addictive plot that had me hanging off every word. She never disappoints!

6/5 Stars!
