As Good As Dead by Holly Jackson
3.0

I know this is a controversial installment and for good reason. The first two books follow a high school girl who solves various murders for her podcast. What is fun about those is that she finds this stuff out using interesting means (fitbits, iPhone pics, etc). This one is different though I guess to say how would be a spoiler. My biggest issue is that the big bad was incredibly obvious to me the moment the facts were presented…and with each additional bit I was more convinced. Yet somehow Pip never seemed to consider this person? Unlike her. Then she did the annoying chosen one thing where she’s like “I must do this alone!” Even though doing it alone makes it less likely to succeed? And then her reasonings for making herself miserable at the end made no sense (it will keep the police from being suspicious but cutting yourself off from all your friends and family and bf for no discernible reason isn’t suspicious? Idk what’s the logic). Anyway it was fine in the moment but by the end there was too much that I found illogical
