lobna 's review for:
Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency
by Douglas Adams
Light yet a deep, page-turner book.
Thats my first Douglas Admas read and it has been a really long time since I enjoyed reading a book like I did this one. When you start to read a lot for different authors and different style, it starts to become harder to impress you, and it becomes harder for you to find books that you really love, but clearly Douglas Adams is not just any author and his books are becoming classic for a reason.
The way he develops the characters and how they start at completely separate points but end up so simply entwining is what was most entertaining about the book. I can't say that I completely understood the ending though I like the confusion it left me in. It also seems from the reviewers here that most readers enjoy "not understanding the ending". It is clearly one of those book that you have to read again once you know how it ends and although I'm not the kind of person who rereads book, I'll gladly do it for this one.
