No Filter and Other Lies by Crystal Maldonado

What do you do when your whole persona is built on lies? That’s what Kat has to learn after her “picture perfect” world comes crashing down on her, only because of the choices she made, wrong ones it turns out. This was a different story, definitely the opposite of the author’s previous book. Kat was a character I truly did not like, which speaks a lot about the writing of the book. I enjoyed the book but was frustrated with all the lies Kat piled on top of everything, at what cost? Losing a friend AND a girlfriend. Is the cost worth it? Not only does she discover it’s not, she also goes down a path of self discovery, learning that her tendency to lie comes from her non-upbringing by her parents. I wanted to like this story more, it just didn’t grab me like I thought it would
