This feels like A Good Girls Guide to Murder just written a little poorly. The suspense was mid at best, and I didn't feel too much of a connection to any of the characters, maybe because I felt like there was too much happening at once. It felt very slow, especially in the middle, yet also rushed at the beginning and end.
