Another banger! I love Penn Cole’s writing style so much. Already onto the next book.

Awww so beautifully written, I don’t know where to start with this review.

So in this book Diem is growing into the role as the new Queen of Lumnos.
She is navigating her new life at court while learning about court schemes and politics. At the same time, she gets a glimpse of what it means living life as a Descended at court, which lets us readers understand more that the prejudices she had before might not apply or the very least it isn’t so black and white.
In this book, Diem is facing the reality, that the prejudices she had towards the Decendends might not apply to every single one. Will she find a way to find a way to change the current injustice towards the mortals without losing the friends that she is making at court.
At the same time, she is getting closer to Luther, her sworn enemy. The banter between these two was just delicious! I wish we had Luthers PoV, cause I just know he was so irritated with Diem at times.
I loved every second of it! Diem can be so petty and ohhh it is just giving life!

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite romantasy series.
