Loved everything about this book! It is incredibly heavy handed in its allegoriness, but that just makes it hilarious and worth the read. As a teacher, I appreciated so much about this novel. Actually, the only reason I picked up the actual book is because I grew up loving the movie. I honestly had no idea it was a book until my sister surprised me with a copy of the movie for my 30th birthday. We saw that it was based on a book in the credits. Since the movie took on a whole new meaning to me as an adult, I knew I had to get my hands on the novel.
