This is my first read by Sara Desai and I found this to be a quick and sweet read. I was really drawn to and enjoyed the aspect of an unrequited crush turning into the chance of real love vis a vis a fake engagement. Daisy Patel and Liam Murphy quickly form an attachment when
Daisy gets caught up in a moment. Their lives will never be the same.
What follows are hijinks and shenanigans as they navigate their dating life. They have a past and Liam is atoning for the hurt he caused her. The arrangement is mutually beneficial but there's more at stake for Liam. Meanwhile Daisy is just trying to keep her family from planning a wedding as part of an arranged marriage to another man. Daisy loves a plan, just not that one.
There's family drama on both sides that impacts their prospects at happiness with each other. It's not an entirely easy ride as mistakes are made and will need to be rectified in order for them stop planning for an HEA and start living it. 3.5 stars and recommendation.
