I think I would’ve really liked this when I was 16. But as an adult it felt pseudo intellectual with all of the little science factoids. I felt like the protagonist was too weird and all of the other characters were really flat. I feel like the author made pretty broad generalizations of Asian family dynamics— although that may have been hers, she made it sound like that was universal. Like I feel the book was almost unfinished. I’m all for stream of consciousness books but there was really no plot resolution imo
It was pretty short though and easy listening on my drives to work.
