Damn, this was a good book! I often find mysteries somewhat dull as I typically suss out the “plot twist” early on. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I made it halfway through the book before figuring this one out! Or, at least, so I thought. I was right in the end, but there was so much more I didn’t see coming, and it was so shocking and fun to see it all come together!
The whole book is a page turner. I started it late yesterday, enjoying the first six chapters. When I picked it up again this afternoon, I barely put it down until the end. I haven’t been this excited about reading a book since I read Anxious People back in January. Now that I think about it, that was also a mystery... Maybe I should give the genre more credit.
Anyway, read this book! It’s a fantastic story, well thought out, very interesting cast of characters, very well written, AND it has short chapters!! Such an easy 5 stars!
