The Master Magician
by Charlie N. Holmberg
I thoroughly enjoy Charlie N. Holmberg. I have been a fan of the entire series, but this one seemed to drag just a tad... treading water to ultimately lead to a rather lack luster showdown, at least I believe so.
The one thing I truly enjoy about this is that while Ceony is a 'proper lady' in some aspects, she does not let anyone trample on her. She doesn't take lip from women or men and expects to be treated with respect, with the knowledge that she is not everyone's equal. I really enjoyed that about her character, and she was a strong individual through the entire series.
I wish wish wish there were more pieces with Emery in it, because he is not only entertaining but brings out strength in Ceony.. which to me is a great lead male.
There were aspects to the book that perhaps could have been left out but all in all this was a 3 star book! I would definitely recommend the entire series.
