Life of Pi by Yann Martel

4.0

Interesting and thought provoking...this wasn't my favorite book ever, but it might be a fun one to teach. It was a little slow in places, a little too violent in others, but overall, a worthwhile read. I enjoyed reading the parts about animal behavior and wondered if it was all true. I also enjoyed the philosphy of the book and loved this quote from page 71 "The main battlefield for good is not the open ground of the public arena but the small clearning of each heart." So true.
